I know Tom Ford is gay but I have a massive crush on him he is just gorgeous although he is old enough to be my Dad at 51 years old lol! Anyway so are his clothes and the Tom Ford show was one that I was looking forward to checking out. As last seasons have seen him show is collection behind closed doors only for the privileged fashion editors to see, I was excited for his debut on London Fashion Week for us all to see. Anna Wintour was among the FROW sat centrally showing her support for the American designer. The show consisted plenty of lace, sequins leather and sheer panels (which we also saw in NYFW) get ready for a autumn winter trend! Here is some pictures from the show

The Make Up
The make up was simple yet beautiful however fierce contouring was used. no doubt using the 'shade and illuminate' pallet from his own line of cosmetics. Only very natural blush was used only to recreate the models real colourings.
The lips were nude and mostly matte - this can be re created at home by dusting translucent powder over your nude lipstick to give the ultimate nude tip and it also helps make your lippy stay on too! Bonus!
Eyes were more intense using shades of browns, bronze and soft blacks - brows were left bushy and natural. glossy lids became a focus and complimented the glossy slicked back hair of the models. To get the Tom Ford look you could try using the eye shadow pallet in 'Cognac Sable' but at £62.00 a pop they are not cheap - Pricey but an investment indeed!

The collection showcased plenty of street style mixed with luxe detailing such as the sequined 'hoodie'. Many of the pieces I can see being recreated by the high street especially the printed bodycon maxi dress which I totally fell in love with.. Swoon! Sheer panelling as seen in New York was present in this show too, which I can see being a massive trend and one which I really love and is really flattering too. Again we see soft angles and rounded shoulders - meaning for AW13 you can put away them sharp shouldered blazers lol!
When asked to sum up his collection Tom Ford said ' cross cultural, multi ethnic, happy and maximalism'. I couldn't have put it better myself Mr Ford! Never the the wall flower Tom Fords collection stands out from the crowd and shows off what he is best known for - an innovative and trend leading designer.
What does everyone else think of the London Fashion Week shows? Hope everyone is having a good week so far?
